Here's a kit I've been playing out with quite a bit lately. It's a Slingerland 3-ply "orphan" maple -- 22/12/16. It's pictured with a Leedy & Ludwig snare that I normally use with it. The cymbal stands in the pic are Ludwig 1400s. I use them with all my vintage kits, simply due to their lighter weight. It's obviously a sign of the "aging process" taking over! The kit sounds really good and has been a lot of fun to play. At my age, that's just about all that matters.

Sweet kit. Congratulations. I bet it sounds great. I would love to hear that snare.
I also like the reso head. That would also be a cool design if you were using a ported head and put the port with a chrome Holz or O's in the headlight.
Very proud owner of a new Blaemire Snare 6.5 x 14 made by Jerry Jenkins "Drumjinx"
Gary one of my favorite finishes !! Beautiful kit !
Super NICE shot Gary! The Slingerland's, stage, and lighting look incredible!

@tsnquint: Thank you for the kind words. That Leedy & Ludwig snare really has a nice "crack" to it when played. As far as the reso head, it actually is ported with a chrome ring in the headlight.
@vintagemore2000 (Mark): Mine, too! Thanks for the positive feedback.
@TommyP: ALWAYS a pleasure hearing from you! I was very happy with the way the pic turned out, too. Not too bad for an old geezer using an old "point and shoot" Kodak Easy Share. I only wish my drumming was as "incredible" (lol)!
Mam o`man-that is one lovely set and good to know you`re gigging it out too!Wonderful drums and that bass reso rocks !!!

Thanks so much, Wayne. At my age there's no reason to hold onto these kits simply to put them in storage somewhere. I've got to treat every gig like my last (lol)!
Top notch, as always OldSchool !!
I've loved watching you post the various cool bass heads you use over the years as well.
