Hello, Its hard to see because a previous owner stained the edges, but does this look like a one ply drum or 3? I will try to get better photos later today. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Are you judging by the grain of the outer ply? Its been over stained, but I'm not familiar with the texture or grain of mahogany...It is definitely different from the maple inner ply grain.

Lucky is correct. Definitely mahogany exterior and maple interior thus it is a 3-ply. Also that drum appears to be late 60's. Although they are listed in the catalogs there were almost no single ply drums made between '65 and '70. After '70 (with a few exceptions) all are 3 ply or 5 ply.
