Are we talking all drums? Slingerland normally put badges on snare drums and bass drums, but did not put them on toms until the early 60's, along with air vents.

I only say that because I have some 66 slings toms with no badges and a Tom with a badge that is stamped 66.

I should work for NASA!

That clears up the issue on two toms with small beavertail lugs.

So I guess this 16,20 8 lug small beavertail was a tom, morphed into a bass.

In picture two would 5 1/2" be the spacing for the curved cylinder tom mount?

The 5 holes drilled 4 times around the shell just a hack of some sort?

Trying to sort out which holes are original and what isn't

This is the same drum that is in the slingy seen better days thread. Wish it could talk seems to have had quite the journey.

LATE 1966 is when they put serial numbers om Slinger drums...July/august....
