How come you guys have the classic lugs on your Rockers? Mine have the standard type, which I think are cool but the classics are great too. Mine came with a red wrap snare that matches the kit.

By the way, I took a small part of this kit to our studio to play and record. 22, 12, 16 and a Keystone Acro. Have to say they sounded great!

Thank you!

He will soon realize the snare is a preference and just a box to check off on the order form. He does say ..."came with".

I have a Ludwig Rocker kit that has the mini classic lugs. What snares came with them? My kit came with an acrolite (gray) blue and olive badge and I really like it but I was thinking about finding a snare that would match it. The one I attached...could it have come with the rockers kits that had the mini classic lugs? If not, anybody have any pics/info on what snares came with the early rockers/phaser?

If you don't have to, DON'T sell the Acrolite. They're really great snare drums. There's a reason why Ludwig re-issued them, and now the new ones are way more expensive than the originals.. For me, the originals seem much more solid and durable.. Saw a re-issue at my local shop and it looked cheap, even though it's the same shell and construction, but that's just my opinion.. You can keep looking for your Rocker snare to match the set, but again, i'd keep the Acro.. Even though it's not original to your set, it still is a great combo.

I think the earliest rockers has classic lugs and then they switched to the standard. Most rockers I see have standard lugs.

Thanks for the info...I think I will just stick with the acrolite...the lugs match the rest of my kit anyway. And like you said, it is a great sounding snare :)
