Sold my Camco kit and bought this! Last viewed: 11 hours ago

Well I needed a 12" tom to match my Gretsch bop kit. Although another nice Progressive Jazz kit showed up for $2599 plus shipping I got this for nearly $700 less and a matching snare. I am not a huge fan of the dual tom setup but it will be nice for my Gretsch collection. Also this kit has the correct fade to the wrap vs the other kit which would be too bright and brilliant in finish for my 18" bass drum.

Now I can wrap my project 12" tom to match this kit and keep the original tom for my bop kit. Really neat having a lot of drums in the same color now to have a lot of options.

I love the dual tom setup actually. I've never seen that often re: those old round badge kits. Oh well. So much for the Camcos.. Nice flip though. You spent, what $1,300 for those and got an arguably more valuable kit?

Great stuff..

Why didn't G. just move the mount up a couple more inches..and put it smack dab in the middle of the drum, like Ludwig did?..The toms are in your lap,as is....

Good question. For me when I do play two toms up I like it like that. Also this kit really reminds me of my first kit. So yeah might make it hard to sell :( Of course nothing that the right offer won't fix. Interesting to see how each manufacturer tackled the two rack tom issue. I htink Ludwig and Camco got it right.

You always have those kits in your collection you say you are never going to sell. Then someone comes along and offers good money. To that end I would rather pass the enjoyment on to someone else whenever that time comes on a kit. So far the only kit that has not left my stable is my Sonor kit.

Anyway the kit is on its way!!
