The tom mount does not belong on the BD side, it should be a terdrop shaped mount or internal telescopic mount. That can be put back on the plate with the pole the same as it is on the BD now. You will be missing the other one.

You got your work cut out for ya whatever you decide to do. Use CLOROX on a sponge let dry 24hrs. before sanding the mold. You may wanna strip and finnish the BD and tom til you can afford to re-wrap, or leave it that way. The FT should be saved for trade or sale for funding another one in need of re-wrap or stripping. Once they`re gone, they don`t hold value anymore. The FT can bring in good cash !i

Be prepared to wait because it may be a long time before what you need comes around !i

The date stamp looks like 687, July 68. Which is about right.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my drums.

I am definitely thinking of addressing the BD and Tom.. Am I correct I. Understanding that you don't think I should remove the wrap on the floor Tom? It is not in as poor a condition as the others except the mold picture is the floor Tom only. I had read else where that bleach wasn't a good ideas, but to use T.S.P. instead... But I will research further.

I hadn't found my way to that forum yet, thanks! Somehow I missed it as i had found the museum.. Maybe I'll share my kit over there!

I`m a sonor guy, Phonics is my preference and recently the teardrops.

I find that CLOROX works better on wood than trisodiumphosphate, it helps to lighten thos dark rings at the top and bottom of the stainning whic is there for ever. (all three layers).

Don`t use TSP on the wrap. It will do wonders for cleanning but romove the sheen. I find WD40 and white plastic scrubbers (finest is better) work well on the surface of lanolium.

Yes, I want you to save the FT wrap and part with the FT so it can be a survivor and fund your re-wrapped one and some parts. I can make that staining inside completly dissappear by bookmatch veneering a new interior after removeing the finnished inside one. But I could never repair that wrap if it`s damaged at it`s age and all !i

See what I mean now ?
