Sonor Teardrop Reconstructive Surgery-HELP! Last viewed: 3 hours ago

I believe its called Magassar Ebony.

Getting there. This is like coat #6 and I'm going for high gloss.

What would you guys do for heads on these?

I'm thinking Vintage Emperors all around w/ambassador clear resos (cept for bd).

BUT! I could get a deal on Ambassadors for the tops?

Any thoughts?

These are thin 3 plys and I like a rock sound over jazz but don't know as the bearing edges are rounded and not really sharp cept for the snare.

Done!!

She sounds like a dream and the bass actually tunes up quite nice!

Missing a few parts but won't pursue further. I couldn't find spurs for the bass drum and just went with home depot specials! I have the badges but have decided against putting them on for lack of the proper nails and I just like the way it looks right now.

Much thanks to KellyJ for the support and guidance!

Took six months and a lot of $ but I'm going to play it, hold on to it, and pass it on to my son when he is ready.
