Sound King Lugs Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Just an observation from my readings of this site the last couple years I guess.

Why is it that the Sound King lug is rarely ever asked for? I have seen guys ask for the whole gammit of Ludwig lugs occassionally, but I cannot recall anyone ever asking for a Sound King lug. Is it that they are made so well, both structurally and finish-wise, that they do not get replaced often, if ever? Is it that Slingerland is the step-child of the vintage drum scene and as such, gets less overall play, reducing the chances of the parts being needed? I just posted a for sale thread for some odds and ends and knew the snare Sound King lugs would be good to go for someone, but then I realized, I have never seen anyone ask for them, that I can recall.....LOL.

Just wondering what others think on this issue.
