Speed King Re-assembly Question Last viewed: 48 minutes ago

Hey all,

I just want to make sure I did this right. I successfully cleaned out all the gunk and got it looking pretty much like new.

Sorry about the photo quality (auto-focus camera!), but can you tell me if that looks correct? I have the shorter, "notched" part of the piston facing the inside (towards the beater). Is the piston supposed to go all the way up and make contact with the football shaped cam (like I have it)?

It looks right and the action feels right, but I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks!

Yes, the cam is what pushes the piston down. Pics look correct. High side of the cam up when pedal is in relaxed position just like you have. Don't forget the grease (or teflon or what ever you're using to to lube it).
