Spelling bee!!! Last viewed: 3 hours ago
You are so right, sir! There are people on the forum however, who have a hard time spelling the word, "drum".
Brian
Well guys, it's really too bad when we see all the "variations" here on the forum... 'cause you would think members would know better...
HOWEVER, sometimes my wife and I browse Craigslist adds just to see how many people are indeed "spelling challenged!" It happens in every category... some people just don't have a clue!!
One of our all-time favorites is out of the "furniture" category:
chesterdroors (or some variation of the same)... :)
BTW -- my spell checker is working all the time, even when posting here -- is that because I'm running MS Office, or is that available for everyone on here? If the latter, do they not know what the squiggly red line means???
Cherryvale, Ks
"Redrums - Ks" on FB and Reverb
(also "billnvick" on eBay)

There are some who are grammatically challenged but at least it is somewhat decipherable and consideration should always go out to our foreign friends. What gets me is blurry pictures taken in dark corners of basements with cell phones that have dusty and dirty lenses. In the digital age you don't have to drop your film off at the Photo Mat and wait a few days to find out if the picture stinks. You can look at it right away, delete it if necessary and take another one. It amazes me that while Craigslist has the capacity for 8 pics in an add (not sure how Ebay works) people put up one horrendous pic of the item they're selling. That is worse than spelling errors. Combine the two issues and you know you're dealing with a knucklehead.

While I certainly have an issue with those who can't spell ("base" drum!) I think my vote is also for poorly taken pictures. No excuse in this digital age for poor pictures! Please check this link and you'll see what I mean! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ludwig-Acrolite-Snare-Shell-14x5-/221249696328?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item3383827248

At least that one shows the drum. I like it they post only one picture that's taken from directly over the drum. All you see is a large white dot...not very informative. Then, of course, there's the postings where they identify the drum by the head..."For Sale, Ludwig WeatherMaster Drum" or a "Remo Emperor Snare"
