Spread or Cluster Rivets? Last viewed: 12 minutes ago

Anyone have any opinions on what I should get on My K Custom Dry ride 20"?

Is there a major difference between the two?

Please enlighten me.

Depends on how much sizzle you want. A 'little' go for a cluster of three rivets spaced about an 1" apart, approx. a quarter of the way in from the edge. For a full-on sizzle cymbal go for the spread.

Purely your call and all based on your personal taste. I'm not partial to that sizzle sound. If I was going for it, I'd use one of those old Camco flip units. At least I could make them go away when I wanted to use/hear just the cymbal. Sizzles are all wash, no stick. I like to hear the stick.

Too many great drums to list here!

i love sizzles. but i dont use many rivets at all. usually three up top at 10,12 and 2 position and then one at 6 oclock postion. they can really chabge or enhance a cymbal sound.
