Tommy - that's a sweet set of drums you picked up in a rare finish for Standards. That's 3-ply maple under the paint. Some guys think that the lighter hardware on those kits makes them more expressive/resonant drums. The only difference between the Standards and the high-end kits of the period is the hardware. That's a really great set of vintage drums. Enjoy.BTW, that's a 70's logo on the BD but it looks like somebody might have stuck a logo onto an Evans head... not original.John

Looks like a classic tom tom mount on the bass drum. The standard tom tree was much lighter weight. Very Cool!!!

Looking at your first pic i see some resembalance to my black & white lable ludwigs i have , we share the same tom mount and classic lugs and i see the MT badges do not point foward but to the side just like mine ,i figgered my drums are from the early 80's and your the early 70's.

It amazes me that those simmularitys are so many years apart.
