Luckily, I've never had anything stolen-knock on wood-but I did leave my cymbal bag at a streetcar stop.

After a gig with a house kit, I ran into an old friend whom I had'nt seen in years waiting for the same streetcar, and laid all my gear down. Started chatting ect, and boarded the car leaving the cymbal bag leaning on a post. When we got to the subway station I finally noticed that I was a little light. He hightailed it with me back to the spot, and about a half hour later, there was the bag, just sitting there leaning on the post!

Dude, you've got to get out there! Nothing better for your drumming than giggin', no do overs, start overs, dropped sticks, just play through. Your drumming gets 10x better after about a month of gigging.
