Hello All!
When I was about 6 years old (21 years ago) my grandmother gifted me with her father's drum kit, which consists of a very old 1930's-40's era trap set along with a late 50's Rogers Holiday snare drum.
As you can image, it was not the best idea giving such a young kid something like that, and after several years several pieces of the strainer fell off and went missing.
I'm not an expert on these drums, but it looks to be what you guys call the "clock face" strainer. The Rogers logo has a black background.
I'm not entirely sure what pieces I'm actually missing. I have the actual body, the piece with the string clamps that has a threaded rod where the thumb screw attaches, and the piece with the through-hole that the threaded rod is inserted into. To keep the strainer tight I used to keep a drumstick jammed between the shell and the strings. Terrible, I know, but it was the only way I could make it sound decent...
Anyway, I know I need at least the arm and the thumbscrew. I have no idea what other pieces I may need.
I taught myself to play on his kit, and while the majority I've relegated to "decoration only" to protect it from further degradation, I'd really love to get the snare properly playable again.
If any of you have these parts lying around, I'd love to buy them off of you.
Thanks in advance for your help!
