Amazing! That's quite an endorsement. I think I'll keep these Ludwig heads on a while and experiment. I seriously doubt if I'll even sell a few records! Oh well, I'm still having fun after all these years.

Yeah but that's you. You could play on my mid seventies Star Wars lunch box and sell a few million records...

The person that gave you the drum probably left those original heads on there for you for a reason. Enjoy the drum and play the heads until they eventually wear out and then worry about what kind of heads you'll use to replace the originals. I always preferred the original Ludwig heads on Ludwig drums. I think they sound better with the original heads, but then that's just my opinion. I never sold even one record so take it with a grain of salt! :D

Too many great drums to list here!

The great thing about Supra's is that you can tweak them to customize the sound like you're doing. I added a set of those split snares that Puresound makes to my hammered brass supra and it made a world of difference in the sound of the drum. I'm happy to hear that you're having fun with your Supraphonic. It's a workhorse drum that can be tuned to suit any style of music you may be playing.(One of) the very best snare drums ever produced in the USA. John

Hey, John!

I just finished installing a set of those Puresound Equalizer wires. You were right! They sound amazing! I still like the old twelve strand Lugwigs but, I'll try these out for a bit. I like to experiment. I was just wondering though what you guys think of these split wires. Pros? Cons? Thanks.
