Just got this on a buy it now for $80! Check out the pics...its a keystone and is dirty, but I don't see any pitting or pealing at all..... Could this be COB????? I've got 4 other supras (aluminum) and all have at least a tiny bit of pitting no matter how good the condition. In one of the pics on this auction it looks like they polished one panel and it looks like new. Either way....I got a deal....

yeah I figured based on a keystone with a serial number that it had to be aluminum, just odd that there is no pitting on a dirty drum that does not appear to be well cared for..... Guess I'll find out in a week!

the dirt might have saved it if thats possible. i bought a b/o badge supra a few months ago that was awful filthy. i expected it to be pitted all over badly. detailed it and it is beautiful.

The one that I had that Shawn M got was the same way. Other than the dents where it had been dropped on its P-85, the only real thing wrong with it was that it was FILTHY dirty. I mean the crud was caked on it. And that's what saved the chrome, IMO!

Please excuse me for the dumb question but I am pretty new at this vintage drum stuff. If a keystone badge has no serial number then the shell would be brass? You guys seem to get excited over the pre serial number drums and I never really understood why.

Thank you
