Anybody know with certainty when Ludwig started using the round knob on the supraphonic?

the early 60's supras had 3/4" round knob mufflers. they then went to the baseball bat mufflers and phased those out in 68 for the 1" round knob mufflers.

Thanks Mike - looked at an alleged 67 supra that had the larger round knob, no date stamp, and a serial number that might date it late 67, early 68. Your feedback was timely, and appreciated!
