I had this tom laying around and finally got around to doing something with it. I had cleaned it up awhile ago but it hasn't had a purpose as an orphan swiss cheese tom. Normally I would never drill holes in a drum, but this one was already pretty messed up. It was a 9x13 6 ply Ludwig Classic tom, and I added a P85 and P32 to make it into a snare. I also cut some slots into the bottom rim for the snare wires. That was the only part I sort of felt bad about.
It actually sounds great, and I haven't even cut snare beds yet. I'm going to wait and see how much buzz I get with other drums/instruments. If its not bad I'll leave it as is. This will probably get some recording use. It's good to have a different sound sometimes. I'll post something when I get around to recording with it.
These aren't the greatest pictures, I took them with my phone since our camera is out of service at the moment.
