Swiss Drummers at the Deep River Ancient Muster Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I was camped out at the Deep River Ancient Muster this past weekend and I wanted to share some videos with all of you who may not be familiar with this type of event.

First, traveling all the way from Switzerland was the Swiss Fifers and Drummers Association. With 75 fifers and drummers and more than 30 snares. They do not use marching bass drums. This was an incredible performance.

Man I love rudimental drumming! You guys are great!

What the hell is that l-o-n-g roll you guys play near the end of the first video? Sounds like one of those crazy 18 stroke roll type thingys. I enjoyed listening to your band very much.

The piece is called Three Little Drummers and is a standard in the fife and drum community. The rolls at the end are accented 15 stroke rolls. It's a very cool piece that emphasizes left hand accents to give it a syncopated feel. PM me with an email address and I can scan the music and send it to you if you like.
