Just want to confirm my suspicions of an approximate age of my Swiv-O-Matic bass drum pedal. Need the Rogers experts to come out and confirm.....
I'm thinking somewhere in the 1966-1970 range, so it could be CBS era?
The bottom of the pedal base is solid without a hole in it for the height adjuster tube, it is stamped "swiv-o-matic pat. pend.", and has the two holes in the base for the hoop clamp. It has what I believe to be the second generation of swivel stay for the footboard rod. (From what I've seen out there, the 1st gen had some quick release and side attachment design.) The 2-pc footboard has "pat. pend" on it and has the earlier set screw mount for the stay rod. The bolt for the hold-down clamp is the second gen, I believe, as it is a wing screw as opposed to a round knurled knob, and the spring adjuster is a round knurled knob as opposed to the earlier wing nut.
How close am I Rogers guys?
