tama 11 lug snare! Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

hey guys, i was looking through some of my old drum brochures, on my endless quest for drum making knowledge, and came across this. tama made an artwood series snare, with 11 lugs on the batter side and 10 lugs on the reso.

now, maths has never been my strong point, so igave up trying to work it out, after about 10 seconds!!Laughing H

just thought i'd share it with you all.

also, is a page from a ludwig brochure, featuring the coliseum range, particularly, the "slotted" one.

i can feel another project coming on. ;)

I thought I remember reading somewhere that Billy Cobham had a hand in developing that tuning concept. Those are cool drums, and somewhat collectable.Walking

I think you're right on billy cobham. And as for collectable you'd have to save your pennies for a while. There's one on e bay now for a £1000:eek:

Here's a frankenstein snare. Possibly made by a Muzzy in Vegas. Leedy shell, hayman lugs(?) with 8 on top , 6 on reso. I switched strainers from a sonor to g way. It's loud.
