Couple of questions:
1) Is it true?: "The Ludwig Standards were made to compete with the lower priced import drums that were emerging in the late 60's through the 80's. The best thing about Standards is that Ludwig used the same 3 ply shells as their higher end drums. The cost savings was in the lugs and hardware, which was different than the higher end Ludwig drums."
2) The drums appear to have small classic lugs, but other sets have what I know as Standard-type lugs (without grooves). Why is this?
3) Were they all granitone interior? Anything else I should know?
Thanks
