There's probably not a better way to illustrate what makes Camco such a great drum. The whole kit sounds great!
I have the DVD of that concert and absolutely love the way his kit works so well in the different styles of music played in that concert.
makes me proud to own one - check out 1964 blues sparkle in the gallery.
The only change is the addition of a 16" floor tom to go with the 12-14-20 matching snare.
After 48 years playing I finally got a Camco kit this year. I haven't stopped raving about it since. The sound of the drums makes the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
Camco's sound the way drums are supposed to sound. Period. I think they are the best sounding drums ever made in America. And that's coming from someone who has owned or played the best offerings from, Ludwig, Gretsch, Rogers and Slingerland. Camco's stand head and shoulders above the rest.
Jasper maple shells and low angle/FAT bearing edges (I've never seen a round-over as large as the ones on my Oaklawn Camco's)... it's a drum building - winning combination. 'Warm' only begins to describe it.
Every drummer should own a vintage Camco kit.

Never have had a chance to play one,but that kit sounded fantastic, drumming and the whole band was killing, such a soulful simmering groove, great arrangement.
That video makes me miss my '67 ES335...

Maybe little bit wrong to refear ( you said so on English???) to a proffs micked band such this - I gues that even other good drumset should sound nice too.. well tuned, throu a nice equpimnet and so on...
But I have to agree ... SInce I got my Camco, I do not like ( so much ) any other set anymore.... It feels ( and sound) like ... teher is no better!?!?! It can NOT sound better, I do not need better. I got it ALL here, in my Camco.
And I benn recently it touch with some other guys that get a Camco . saids same thing - "I do not more need my DW and SQ2 ... I do have all I need in those Camco drums".
But I KNOW few people , witch been trade/sold their Camco for another set - for example one guy change Camco to Craviotto set, and another one LA Camco for Antonio Drums, True Solid.
So , I guess, thats the "same liga" Camco playing with ( Craviotto, Antonio Drums, and so on) when it come TO THE SOUND!

Superfly - En ingles las palabras 'misma liga' se escribe = 'same league.'
And yes, I think it's telling of the quality of the drums that Camco's always trade for top dollar on the open market, or for other top-of-the-line drum kits. Camco's are definitely 'up there' with Craviotto and the rest.
