And while we are on the Beatles topic... does anyone know what happened to the original Ludwig kit that Ringo play on the Ed Sullivan Show? Does the kit still exist in a museum somewhere maybe?

There's a great article from years ago about Ringo's kits in Classic Drummer magazine. I'll see if I can dig it up later.
Well, I did find this interesting page. Looks like two of the kits had been on display at the Grammy Museum in LA, California until last year. There's also a nice, and kinda sad, write up at the bottom of the page, once you scroll down... a write up about Mal Evans, who was a friend/roadie to the band throughout their entire existence.
