The Beatles Gear Last viewed: 11 hours ago

I just wanted to let you guys/girls know about a company I have been working with for the past several weeks that is working towards completing the ultimate Beatles gear collection. Up until now it has been all guitars and bass's. I know there are a fair amount of guitarists and bass players on the forum so please check those out. Especially the 1963 proto-type Rickenbacker. There were 2 prototypes made. We have #1, and number #2 was given to George Harrison. In the background, the drum collection has been growing but we didn't want to introduce it until it was site-worthy. Over the next few weeks we will be posting photos of the collection set by set. We have been diligent in collecting exact year/specs gear for this collection. The outpouring of worldwide support has been amazing and the Facebook page has received 430k+ Likes in the past 18 months. Lately we have been averaging around 5k new likes per day. I've been very excited about the drum collection coming out and a little bit impatient, but now it's finally happening. We are all working very hard to get the most accurate and complete Beatles collection.

I know there are a ton of Beatles fans here....I hope you guys like the upcoming collection.

Please check it out if you have some spare time, right now..it's the guitars, but the drum sets will be added weekly.

Nice site. Can you get them to disable the persistent Quick Time install requests?

I have never before seen the red guitar next to the Beatle Bass in the 1961 picture.

I have the "Beatles Gear" book at home. I'll have to look when I get home. Maybe that is Paul's guitar before he switched to bass?

This is an awesome site. It's my wish list come to life (although I have a few examples.)

1971 Ludwig Rock Duo set in Blue Oyster Pearl
early Mapex dual bass drum Saturn kit
1964 Leedy Ray  Mosca kit in Blue Sparkle
1959 Slingerland Super Gene Krupa snare in WMP
1968 Slingerland Hollywood Ace Snare Drum
1969 and 1977 Ludwig 400 Supraphonic snares
1965 Acrolite snare
Ludwig Coliseum snare
'68 Rogers Dynasonic snare
Pearl free floating piccolo snare
13" Mapex piccolo snare
6.5" deep Mapex steel snare
Mapex 6.5" Brass snare
I know there's more snares than that.
UFIP cymbals / Avedis Zildjians
Ghost pedals or Tama King Beats

I will definitely check...I haven't seen that message personally. Maybe because I already have it installed. Let me know if I can do anything else.

Just for the record, this is no relation to The Beatles Gear book by AndyB.

I don't know if you realized but if you click on the instruments individually an article and back-story will pop up. Typically when a new collection is released, ie 1967....all the instruments will be in black and white and non-clickble. Onec the article has been written for that instrument, we will turn it to color and then you will be able to click it for the story.

1961 ? They werent called the beatles yet/ their formative years of 58 thru 62 they had several different names/ they completed their lineup in 62 with ringo and then george martin took control, made them presentable and was the reason for their fame- truth be told. They quit performing live after revolver in aug 66 and then til their breakup inthe fall of 69 they remained a studio group . They owed everything to martin and epstein and wjen epstein passed they started to crumble/ the beatles came a few years before the monkees and altho they were both fabricated the beatles had a true leader in george martin; he and mccartney held it together.
