The Moronic Drummer Last viewed: 28 minutes ago
When I saw the title I thought this was about me. LOL!!
Yes I know the type very well. Most of them can barely play a beat.
> if you can't play, tune or take care of your nice vintage drums, you can't own them.
Hey, Chairman Mao! We're in the good ole USA! That cat can make a bonfire out of those drums if he chooses to. Not that it would be right, but they are -his- drums! It's all relative. I'm sure if the ghost of Buddy Rich visited your house, or my house, he'd be calling us, moron drummers! Compared to him, we are! So, it's all relative. I do hear you, seeing and hearing stuff like that can really rattle the cage of someone who truly loves drums. But it is the cats right to own them and do with them whatever the hell he pleases. They're -his- drums. You take care of yours and I'll take care of mine and hopefully we can tip the scales to balance out for all the 'moron drummers' that are out there.

> literal?
Mark, you call the guy a moron in the title and it turns out it's because of how he plays and stores his drums. How many 'other ways' are there to interpret 'moron'?
It was a friendly response. I think you read something into my comment that wasn't intended. It's easy to misread somebody when they're not right there in front of you face to face. Just know I didn't mean anything harsh by my comment. Nothing personal was intended.

Or maybe you can find out where this sucker, er, i mean moron lives and take him some nice shiny B8,s and a new Westbury snare drum and trade him for some of that "old' stuff sitting around.
"We all know someone like this"....Do you think!!Yes Sir
I love my vintage LUDWIGS. And I take really good care of them.
I think he means this guy..... whom ever he was.
Its hard to judge, not knowing the backstory for how that came to be. But still... difficult not to.

Good grief Ploughman that makes my heart bleed... and i know those babies are out there and can be saved. But it`s up to the good ol`boys(us) to save and refurbish them. That`s what we`re all about on here.As far as morons go...they`re everywhere in every capacity.

I can stand most types of drummer but the ones I really despise are those cool-laid back-in the know suckers who play for "the new up and coming" type of band. Generally tall, good looking guys on glasses who use either DW,C&C, SJC, Shine or Pork Pie and for the life of them cannot hit hard enough and sound like a bunny having sex...I hate them to guts!!!!!
