the old panther strikes again! Last viewed: 2 hours ago
Lol it's a classic isn't it? How many drums have been taken by the BP? Imagine those poor loner swirl finish toms when they saw their new owners kits. "Nooooo! It's a BBBBBBlack PPanther!!"
Sanityclause: Perfect!

I wonder if someday, keeping the kit with the black panther wrap over the much rarer stuff would be worth more than taking it apart. Kinda like a beatles butcher cover album thats been covered with the trunk version...
NEWBIE question....what is black panther?
it is a wrap that Ludwig offered. its much like the material of vinyl tops that were on vehicles from that era. there are drums that were originally wrapped and sold with black panther wrap. there were also some drums in psychedelic colors that didn't sell well at the time. they were covered in black panther at the factory and sold.

That's worse!! I thought the owners did this! Wow. Whenever I hear Black Panther, I think of this famous and elusive one quite near to me:
Not long ago I was trying to tell one of the members about the Panther phenomenon and he refused to believe me. Argued hammer and tong that it wasn't possible, he'd never heard of it, etc, etc.
I hope he sees this thread!
John
All of my BP drums have the wrap glued tightly to the shell. No extra layer of secret wrap underneath. But that is fine by me.
