I wish I had those drums:)

I tried to analyze why I liked that wrap and then realized that it looked like a psychedelic deep space Hubble telescope photo!

My wife had never seen the finish and that was her reaction as well. "It looks like an astrophoto!" It's a glorious finish. Funny thing is; back in the 60's, I would have passed on a finish like Mardi Gras. Today, it makes me drool just to look at it. Tastes change. Mardi Gras has always been beautiful, I just had to 'grow' to appreciate it.

The kit sounds killer by the way! 3-ply Rogers drums from that era (1964) are just very well-made and 'special' sounding drums.
