Thanks to Nevin Surface, i have found the prefect ludwig kit i have been looking for, and he has allowed me to put it on lay away, made the first payment a cupl days ago. So would like to say...Thank you very much Mr.Surface for working with me and allowing me this opportunity. I promiss i will not let you down.

Ok so on with the kit....it is a 66/68 red sparkle 4pc Ludwig Hollywood in my favorite sizes...12,13,16, 22. The 13 and16 are 66's with resocote interiors and re-rings. The bass and 12 are 68's with clear interiors and re-rings. All four drums show quite a bit of ware but that is ok with me, i got plans for them.

I am very excited about this purchase. Ive wanted a real ludwig for a long time and cant wait to get them home with me and start giving them the love they deserve.

I only got a cupl photos for now but will post more as i get them.

Welp never mind...cant get them to load yet, files are too big and im on my phone right now and havent figured it all out yet. Maybe Nevin could help with posting a cupl photos.ill keep working on it and add them when i figure it out, stay tuned.

Ok was able to resize this one enough to post. Still working on the other one. The drums are not any thing special to look at right now. Nevin is in the process of gathering every thing up yet and has promissed to send more photos after getting them back together. I will update this thread as i can.

ps, if you read this nevin, please feel free to add photos too.

Congrats, robyn! Once those drums are back together and you get to play them, that kit will become the one you judge all others by! I learned on my friends 50's Black Cortex kit back in 1963. That sound, the sound of those Ludwig drums got so stuck in my head, that it is the sound I judge all other drums by. You're going to love your new/old drums.

Enjoy them for many years to come...

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Way to go Robyn! My 60s Ludwigs are my favourite thing in the world. They are totally irreplacable. Start playin' 'em and see what I mean! Have fun!
