Three events have finally convinced me to let go of some of my vintage drum sets. A year and a half ago, we sold our large house to move to the proverbial cozy cottage for two retired people. My mother will be 100 years old in June, and we're planning a party where she resides 1200 miles from where we are. Our son will be married in July at a high zoot four day affair at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Our new cottage has less space for my drums than our large house did. The bride and her parents wanted the big fancy wedding which is fine with us. But, even though they will be paying for most of the festivities, there are still a lot of costs to be paid by the groom's parents in addition to travel and lodging. There will be considerable expenses for the party, lodging, and travel for my mother's birthday event.

All things considered, these are all once-in-a-lifetime events that are much much more important to me than a few vintage drum sets that could be sold to help fund the upcoming celebrations. I'm going to list these three drum sets, and ask people who are interested to contact me with the messaging function in our forum. The first two sets are similar to others I own. The Fibes set is at the upper size limit of my comfort zone. Please contact me so that we can talk about these great vintage drum sets.

100 years young is amazing. I'm all into health and personal responsibility and am fascinated by centenarians and their lifestyles. All my best to your mother. An amazing accomplishment!

Now onto resisting more drum buying....

Thanks, Larry. My mother is in remarkably good health for her age, and is just starting to slow down a bit. She quit driving two years ago.

First, congratulations to your mom. That's quite an accomplishment!

In respect to your "drum situation" I can totally relate and respect your position. I've got a daughter getting married in June and a son in July. It will be "the summer of love" over here (lol)!

Hello!

We kinda need you to put in asking prices. Those are the rules! I mean this in the nicest way of course! But, guys need to SEE what you're asking. You can of course still entertain PRIVATE OFFERS, but prices need to be shown. THANKS!!!

Woa Momma! That Leedy is quite the looker. Curious to see what you're asking for it. I probably won't be able to afford it but I am still curious.

OK. I'm sorry that I didn't stick to the rules..I seriously am sorry about that.

The Leedy set is worth every bit of $1800. Let's talk about your offers.

The Slingerlands are worth every bit of $2000. Again, let's talk about your offers.

The Fibes snare drum alone has been selling on ebay for prices ranging from $633 to $829. I'll offer the five piece set at $1800. Let's talk about your offers.

Congratulations on your move, and life milestones! Too bad you have to sell some kits but yeah these things are more important.

Gorgeous kits, I'd buy the Leedy if I had the scratch...
