Owing a vintage Gretsch black badge set is no reason to paint the rest of the set in black paint!
Why can't people just let black badge kits alone in their original condition?
:(

There is a special forum for that person
Rogers seem to get painted a lot too inside/out I have noticed over the years....
I knew more than a few drummers in the 70's who either painted or stripped the wrap off their pieced-together orphan kits. It was a cheap way to make your mismatched pieces match, while at the same time, getting rid of those "old fashioned" 50's pearl finishes.
On the bright side of this common mutilation, the original finishes underneath the paint can often appear new and unfaded thanks to never having seen the sunlight. A gentle paint remover or graffiti remover might bring this Gretsch set back to catalog appearance.
