Well, Steve, you'd probably be the only VDF member interested in the fact that "Steves" make up only 3.4% of all our members who have volunteered their first names. Far behind the "Garys" and "Mikes" who make up 8.2% each. And out of our members who have identified their location, only two reside in your home country of New Zealand. FayRay (Andrew) being the other.Mike

Thanks Mike. Numbers and percentages. Gotta love 'em.

As a general note to readers, I do find it helpful when people at least identify what country they are from. It really helps when people ask about what something should cost, because the markets outside the USA and Canada are so different for certain brands of vintage gear. And the high cost of shipping (speaking as I am from a tiny South Pacific Island) changes what might be a good deal on USA eBay. I always try and indicate that what seems a good price in South Africa or Brazil might seem crazy high to those in the USA. But you aren't comparing like with like.

So even if you don't want to add that info to your user profile, it helps when you ask questions about the value of something in the vintage drums or cymbals market. Just tell us when you do ask such questions by saying things like "is this a good price for this Ludwig set if I'm in Outer Mongolia?".
