Hi all.

I have just got (not arrived yet) 2x 1970's Ludwig Timbales. Knowing nothing about them, I was wondering what heads people use on these drums?

As said, they are still in transit, so I am not sure what is currently on them.

The are 13" and 14" in size.

I prefer to use Calf heads but they are expensive. Your next choose would be to use Remo ambassadors they are inexpensive and will do the job
