If you had some 64 ludwig drums and there were some scratches would you re-paint the inside? Does it de-value the set that much?
TO re-paint or NOT to re-paint??? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hey man, I'm contemplating the same. I have a set where only one drum's interior still looks pretty good. The bass interior was actually painted silver, so surely it can't hurt to do that one! Pretty sure I'm going to go for it (the paint color to used is mentioned somewhere on this website); just be careful to not touch any date stamps or writing in there!
There's a dude that has ebay listings from time to time that sells fully refurbished vintage sets; switched out hardware for better quality, repainted, rewrapped, etc. i never follow his auctions to see what they bring, but he always asks a lot!
You might try to touch it up first...really good brush for pinstriping and color match the paint. If you can't stand that then move forward.
