Now that summer is over and things are slowing down at work I'm able to start tracking down kits again. Found this one almost by accident when I was doing a quick browse on a FB buy sell group. The Acro caught my eye then I noticed the Rogers script with the asking price and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I'm not going to say what her asking price was but let's just say I gave her more. Even with that I'm still getting a smoking deal.

I'll get a better idea of what I'm dealing with after I pick them up tonight. Not sure if I'm going to keep or flip, depends on how much work they need. She did say they are little rough. I'm keeping the snare for sure though, you can never have too many Acrolites and I don't have a Keystone.

The blurry pics might be part of the reason they sat unnoticed. She told me she'd had them up for a couple weeks and I was the first person to contact her.

Keystone Acrolite is very cool indeed. Curious as to the finish - original? Congratulations looking forward to seeing what you got...

I'm told it's Mojave Red, I guess Rogers only offered it a couple of years. It is a horrible color, my parents had the some color on their walls in our kitchen growing up. You gotta love the 70s;)

As far as the condition they aren't bad at all, better than I thought. Bearing edges are a little ruff on the bottoms but should sand out. Wrap is in good shape. I would say normal wear and tear with some seam lift on a couple of drums. Mufflers are present but only the FT is complelty intact. One is missing an adjustment knob and the other a mounting screw. Kick looks to have some water damage but it's minor. I haven't pulled the batter side off but there is no ply separation on the reso side. Also it's missing the bass drum spurs a couple collets and of course all resonate side hoops, gotta love the 70s:) That's all I've noticed so far, I got home late and only spent a few minutes going over them. The Acro is date stamped 66, just needs heads wires and a cleaning and is ready to go.

Now that I have them in my possession I don't have to worry about any jinxes. The lady that owned them had them listed for 10 freaking dollars! I gave a her a 100 and still feel like it wasn't enough. She was happy though.
