So I got this DVD Great Hands for life by Tommy Igoe. Looks really cool but what am I suppose to start with. Do I start with the basic warm-up, Do I start with the part that says stretching, or do I have to go through the entire ebook first before I get to the warm ups.

I don't know how much you know, or don't know, so it's next to impossible to tell you where to start.

Do you know how to play the basic rudiments that are part of the warm-up exercises? If not, then that's where you start. Learn/practice the individual rudiments/components of the work out.

If you can already play rudiments, start with the basic/slow work-out. Play along with the video, that's what it's for. As you progress, which shouldn't take long, you can try working out with the intermediate level work-out.

If you are an experienced player, go for the advanced level work-out. Evaluate your own skills and then decide where you can jump in. If it's all Greek to you... start at the very beginning, practice every day and you'll soon see some amazing progress in your ability to play and control the sticks. The Tommy Igoe tape is one of the best ones I've encountered out there. Stick with it. Make it a personal goal to master it.

Thanks John. I do know my rudiments well. I think I will start with the basic warm-up and also work on the other exercises in the ebook.
