Trixon red croco ! Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hey folks, and all Trixon experts.. I recently began a thread for a Trixon kit that i was trying to get some info on.. I'm no Trixon collector, but heard they're quite valuable from some of the helpful forum members up here.. But, it just so happens that i came across a website of a private Trixon collector in England and emailed him. Turns out, he's looking for a floor tom in the same finish ! However, i'm not going to buy this kit unless he agrees to buy the whole kit and not just the floor tom..Can anyone tell me if the sizes are international ? Hopefully they're not like Premier.

Th seller contacted me back this morning hoping that i buy the kit for him.. Kit is still up for sale.. If i buy these drums and end up getting stuck with them, i want to be sure that they will be an easy sale for me, because as of right now, money is a little tight at the moment, and i could use the funds from the possible resale of this kit to pay off some things that are, ahem, way passed due..

Looking to purchase it as an investment..I don't even know what the criteria is for shipping to England from Canada, as i have never done this before..If anyone can help me figure this situation out, such as possible shipping costs, insurance, how much to ask for the kit provided it's still available and if i end up getting it first, it would be greatly appreciated ! Here's the link to my original thread to see the kit in question.

Well that's that.. Seller offered me $500 Cdn for the kit.. Seeing as how shipping will cost almost as much, i have to respectfully decline form this transaction.. I would only break even, and that's not what i wanted..

However, if anyone up here is interested locally, maybe they should take advantage ?

I don't understand, the ad said $150, you could easily re-sell that kit for $800-900. I have a Trixon Luxus kit, well made and sound great.

you must be spoiled for choice there. If that showed up near me for $150 I'd have done the deal by now. I'd be shocked if they were still available. There's an easy profit in them. Is the English buyer offering $500+shipping? And if it's Diamond Dave you are talking to then he's a top man

Fayray-- IT IS DIAMOND DAVE ! I guess he's world renowned ;)..The only thing is the shipping..It's murder with our current Cdn. exchange rate..

Too much for me at this point in time.. Almost sad that this kit will not go to someone who can truly appreciate it..

You're right johnnyringo..However, most drummers in my neck of the woods have never heard of Trixon.. I only heard of them in the past decade, and i'd like to think i know quite a bit about vintage drums.

I guess just not much of a demand here in Montreal.. It looks like a cool kit though, and must sound awesome.. Dave's drum shop in Ottawa Canada, which is only 2 hr drive from here is selling both a floor and snare for $199 each, in Blue Croco ! I emailed Dave and asked what it's worth was and if he'd be interested in buying it.. I'm just waiting for his email response.. Guess we'll see..

yeah, shipping from Canada to New Zealand is crazy as I found out when I inquired about Dave's Drum Shop's Trixon blue Croco snare a couple of months back. Ouch! And I'm used to paying huge shipping charges being all the way down here

Doesn't the buyer normally pay for shipping?

I would not be surprised if this Diamond Dave is reading these threads and will just buy the kit himself. Seems logical. That's why I would have already bought the kit if I were in your shoes. He who scores the kit scores the deal and/or a great flip.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Exactly.. I guess if Dave offers to buy the kit for a decent price, i will contact the seller of the kit and buy it, and then ship it to Ottawa.

Here's hoping he does ;)
