Hey everyone, this is my first post here in the forums. I have a vintage Ludwig kit that I picked up about 6 years ago out of some guys barn (no joke, covered in hay and dirt – paid $100) that I took home, cleaned up with some steel wool to get the rust off the chrome, reglued a cracked bass drum hoop, and sanded/repainted the black on both bass drum hoops. The tom mount was loose on the rack so I took it off and have it stored (why it is not in the picture). The top hoops and tension rods on the toms are what I got with the kit, but I purchased some old hoops from a local drum shop to put resonant heads on the toms. The toms also have the “baseball bat” muffle still installed. Best I can figure is these are 60’s model drums, but as you can see the kick and rack have different lugs than the floor. The rack is 13”, floor is 14”, and the kick is 22”. From what I can tell this is the original wrap (you can see the fade difference from where the mount came off the tom). I have been tossing the idea of selling this kit around in my mind, but wanted to ask for some input on the value if the kick and toms before I make up my mind if I want to move on or stay with my baby. I do actively play this kit, primarily in the studio.
Also the snare is a 120 anniversary reissue gretsch. (edit: not planning to sell the snare, just thinking about selling the toms and kick)
