Possibly,

I got it from a guy at work, My goal was to get a wood snare that I did not care to much about, since I leave it in the car. I like a natural finish and thought I could strip this one down..... Snares are so hard to find now, everyone thinks they have a classic $$$. but I got this one for a good price.

So my options.

1. Get it working as is.

2. Take the covering off and refinish it natural. Anyone had any experience with this? what is the wood like under the cover.

3. Sell it and get a new one.. Any idea's on what it's worth?, especially if the strainer is not original? should I get an original strainer, and if so are they expensive... or sell as is?

Thanks

Bob

Not worth much play as is

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Not a Radio King unless there are three holes under replacement the strainer (cant tell from the photo).

Careful if you remove the wrap (not sure why anyone would, though). The soft mahogany outer ply is easily damaged and can come off with the wrap still adhered to it.

Bsnare!

Oh, no need to apologize at all! THANK YOU for your understanding and quick reply though! Get in touch if you're having any issues with the attachments. It's very easy!, as long as you have your pic files stored on your hard drive in a folder where you can grab them. BEST!!!
