Unique early 60's Acrolite - Thanks Mike! Last viewed: 6 hours ago

From airborneSFC

I feel honored to be part of an acro mystery! Call me crazy but I prefer an acro with COB hoops over an alloy supra.

I have a '64 alloy Supra with COB hoops. I haven't had the opportunity to compare side by side yet.

Dredging up an old thread but...I just picked up a '64 Acrolite with the same wood screw/cup washer set-up. I thought it was a frankendrum, but now I know better. I love this forum.

ooo...a 64...just what ive been looking for. any chance it being on the market in the future ???

I, too, prefer my Acrolite to my Supraphonic, although the only visible difference between them is the number and mass of the lugs.

Not likely. I'd been looking for one for a while to go with my 1964 Downbeat kit.

I also have a 1964 Supraphonic in absolutely magnificent condition, and a 1978 6.5"x14" Acrolite with original Imperial lugs:

I should note that my 6.5x14 Keystone COB supra does sound better than an acro. Way cool deep acro with imperial lugs.
