I recently acquired a drum that may be of interest to Slingerland fans. This 6.5x14 tom tom is a rarity among Slingerland Radio King drums. These were only offered for a short time in the 1930's. This Black Diamond Pearl drum has a "Mather's Drum Shop" logo, too. Bill Mather was Gene Krupa's go-to guy for custom work in NYC and I believe also served as a "drum tech" for Gene at times. Notice the handwritten notations indicating pricing on the inside of the head.

Yes, they certainly seemed to have produced a lot of no catalogued items. Adds to the mystique.
