OK, I spoke with Steve at Steve Maxwell's drums. without seeing the drums he is saying somewhere between $4200 and $3800 as a kit. I really do not want to break this kit up so they will be sold together.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

I am going to split this set up for a quick sale. The wood dyna is available separately for $2995. If there are no takers and I will put it on sleezebay in a few days.

Maxwell's takes 20% commish on a sale. If you have trouble getting your price, send them to Steve, he'll sell them for you. Reputable, reliable people @ Maxwell's.

Best of luck with your sale...

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Nice kit and nice to see photos. Aside from the wood dyna, looks like you may have something else working in your favor... If that is a Clev tagged kit and that does appear to be a 22" bass drum, then that makes the kit more desirable. Clev era 22" bass drums are not that common.

thanks for the replies and words of encouragement. of course, there is always the other option of keeping and playing them. Not a bad kit, although I like two mounted toms and two floor tom toms but it wouldn't be too hard to add those drums........

Just a quick thought.... If you are a Rogers fan, you might want to seriously consider keeping and playing that kit. You may be very hard pressed to find another nice Clev or early Dayton era kit with a 22" bass drum. Add another floor tom for a BR type set up and enjoy. Or play it as it is..... Less is more.

true, a 22" Covington, Ohio bass drum is a good thing. I'm told that Rogers drums will hold a tuning very well. I have three Rogers sets, two Covington, Ohio sets and one Fullerton, California set. One of my first inspirations for learning to play the drums was a guy in my neighborhood who had a Rogers Cozy Cole set in red sparkle. I thought that drum set was about the hottest thing I had ever seen.....then my second drum teacher had a Rogers Louis Bellson style kit in red sparkle as well......he traded them in on a Zickos kit......I'm sure he lived to regret that decision!!
