Hello Friends !

I've been away for a while due to health issues, but wanted to say howdy today.

I'm almost done with a 24-week treatment for Hep C...

This was a tough road, but I'm glad I did it.

This treatment comes with a ton of nasty side effects, but for me, it was the fatigue and insomnia that put me down the worst.

So, I haven't been very active around here or anywhere else for the past six months.

I sure have missed you cats, and I'm hoping to be more able to spend some time here soon.

The virus was dead at week 6 of treatment, and that is a real blessing.

The doc says I will always test positive for the virus, but the viral load itself is termed undetectable. This, he says, terms it as being a cure !!

Anyhow, it's good to be saying hello, and hope to be around more often !!

Kev - I am really glad to hear that you're in remission. However, I really wish you had said something -before- beginning treatment. I went through the 'old' therapy about 15 years ago. After 10 months of pure hell, I was declared a non-responder and the treatment was terminated. I had every bad symptom/side-effect from the chemo drugs that are listed on the labels. But... I had a trick or two that worked for the insomnia, lack of appetite and the horrendous depression that the Interferon and Ribavirin created. Again, I'm happy to hear about your outcome, but I wish I could have helped you -during- the treatment.

Kev _ I take Milk Thistle capsules every day. It has a wonderful cleansing and restorative effect on the liver. Do a little Googling on it. It'll help you stay healthy. It's a natural herb, no drugs, no chemicals. More important... it works!

Welcome back to the world!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
