I'm a Ludwig guy, saw these drums in a used music store. Date on the inside says 1957, looked like 5 ply, some removed the rail in the bass and istalled a crappy rogers tom holder so that means extra holes. The bass is missing 4 t's and claws and a metal rim, looks to be 20", the tom(9x12) has a clip mount and a rogers mount and the floor tom is 14" that has had the legs and holders changed to ludwig (more extra holes). Wrap is in very good shape. The only badge is on the base. I think the tom vent hole is covered by the rogers tom holder. There is also a premier olympic snare and a WFL speed king pedal. The guy wants $500. I offered 300. They refused. Any opinions would be appreciated. Sorry this is all the pics I could get at the time. I know Luddy 14" floors are worth pretty good money but don't know about Slingy 14'

With that kind of swiss cheese/missing parts going on Id say you offered a fair amount. The snare is pretty whatever. Wrap looks kinda faded...though a 14 is always cool. Extra holes...figure half the normal value. Missing parts....
Id skip it or wait until he drops the price. No one will take it at $500 I dont think.

It would be a nice sounding kit, but with all the extra holes the collectivity of it lessens.
Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
