These items were also part of the auction lot of WW1 era (maybe pre for some items). Love to know what some of these items are, and if I have anything valuable. I believe the metal hook pieces are for mounting cymbals, triangle etc on the bass drum? There is a wood block and looks like half of a castenette but larger, possibly older clamp on bass drum spurs? not sure what the other items are?I posted a few topics with pieces from this same drummers collection of items. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks [Attachment: 71521]

Your block and table accessories are in this Leedy cat. Another clue towards Leedy trap kit.

The key is probably for the trunk.

Very interesting, definitely leaking toward the leedy line. You mentioned the key to the trunk? Was there a box for all of the leedy items? Is this stuff desirable? Seems like its really rare, whether or bot that means its worth anything I suppose depends in the need. Thanks again!

Anyone have any idea on the spur looking things? Are these early bass drum spurs?

From FoundonPEI

Anyone have any idea on the spur looking things? Are these early bass drum spurs?

Yes, the spur looking things are bass spurs, except for the big silver one on the left. That's a thumb screw from the Spanish Inquisition (Kidding! :p). The cork on one of the spurs seems to be a period version of our modern rubber tips. I like those heavy C-clamp spurs with the flat brass spurs in which the actual spur is the screw to tighten the clamps onto the hoop. Shows how different manufacturers at the time were trying to create their own unique designs.

Really, really neat stuff you've found on PEI. All I found there was breathtaking scenery.

Thanks Mike! Great point about the cork, that would be a genius little fix back in the day. Also this is very rare to find for sure on PEI. This is the time of year when it's beautiful. January ... Not so lovely
