Ventrasonic accoustic chamber Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

Hi All

i wondered if youanyone could possibly help me with the following;

i have a Ludwig Supraphonic snare , serial number 580013 which prom the ludwig website tells me this is circa 1968. Inside the drum itself is a "Ventrasonic accoustic chamber" which is a plastic vent that channels all the air down onto the snares when the batter is hit.

has anyone come across this before and if they have , is this a rare item?

i'm goping to post some pics when i get chance, but any help in the meantime would be appreciated

This is most likely an added "piece" installed into the drum as I'm "thinking" Ludwig never installed these in their snares. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
