first one is replated?

From what the seller says but it looks great. I'm not sure how it affects the value. Don't wanna say I'm cheap but I'm looking to find one for a hundred bucks with a set of Bolleros or something and maybe with a few K's thrown in ! I probably shoulda posted this in the for sale area. The seller sounds srtaight up but I've noticed some scams on CL ans Kijiji lately. As always pay in person!

You are kidding, correct? I saw no emoticons (or whatever they are called) so I'll assume that you are serious. In the time (and luck) that it will take you to find a 100.00 1920s BB there will be 1000 of those available for sale. You don't get those type of drums for 100.00 and you will seriously offend a seller/collector with a 100.00 offer for one of those drums. Get real, find a used World Max snare drum (great drums) for under 300.00 and just get on with it.

BTW...the second BB is your best choice.

Maybe not $100,but I got my 5 by 14 for $175 from a neighbor 2 doors down less then a year ago. Missing some parts..........

That was the one covered in Turqoise paint that I stripped off....

Was that an engraved BB under the turquoise paint?

Yes! 8 lug..

also got a Leedy Black Elite for $175 from the same person...had the same moron paint that the other one had too!

They went as far as taking all the hardware off both drums,just to glop paint all over,then re-assemble......very strange..electricit

Had to put about another $350 into the pair for heads/Puresounds/parts/labor,but made a touch over 2K on the pair all told,so it was worth it......

Turquoise paint on a '20s BB and Leedy Elite? Didn't know people came that stupid.

I'm surprised the guy wants $2600 for the replated BB. I would think it has much less value than that. Am I mistaken?
