Let me start this by saying, this is only my observation and opinion. After acquiring my first Trixon kit, I've had had several guys on here and elsewhere warn me about some issues with their hardware, like the plastic casings on the floor tom legs and screws stripping out, but doesn't this happen on most vintage hardware?
I've owned them all and have had Ludwig tom arms move while playing no matter how much I tightened the bolt with a Ludwig hex wrench and the kick would creep with the fold out legs. I've had wing screws on Slingerland kits strip left and right, same issues with Gretsch kits. But what about the almighty Rogers, surely I've had no issues with them, wrong! The swivel-o-matic tom arms would move during normal playing and after constant use, the ball would strip out to where I couldn't get the proper placement. I got frustrated enough to put the tom on a snare stand.
As far as the Trixon goes, I don't know if it will hold up, but the kit is over 40 years old and everything is working just fine.
