Hi you lot, just wanted to let you know how i got on using my vintage luddy hardware.Ive read quite a few posts by folk who were wondering if it was up to the job.I bought myself a 68 luddy classic with two cymbal stands hi-hat and a speed king. When i set the stands up i fell about in fits, they will not do for me i thought (i like to play hard)so continued to use my double braced heavy as **** pearl stuff.Something was wrong,it didn't feel right,so decided to give the old stuff a whirl.Absolutely marvelous never moved an inch nice and light and simple to set up(forgot to mention this was done on a dodgy stage with a twenty stone bass man jumpin around)have since added a flat bed snare stand to replace my big dog that had that many adjustments it gave me a headache, and i never got it right.I have sold my B.B Monroe and bought a 64 400 a dream to play, all I'm after now is a 60s l cymbal arm and I'm happy.ain't never going back to that spine breaking modern stuff.keep on shed building,Pete.phew
