Looking at a set of Kent USA drums, no rings but they look nice from these shots. Any idea of value?

Those are nice. I'm looking to complete a set I have in tangerine. Looks like a few missing pieces are needed. If no modifications and all are Kents drums and not rewraps on MIJ pieces maybe $350-400 tops? Nice addition to anyone's 1960s Made in USA collection. One non-issue is the ever present missing floor tom. Most Kent kits I've seen are missing that. This has it. Hunting those down can take time.

The USA Kent drums are gaining value as interest grows very quickly.Their later drums, cheaply made in Japan, are not such a good deal.I would scoop them up,wait 10 years and watch them appreciate!

That snare drum shot is from the coopers vintage drum page . It makes me wonder if that ad is legit .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

I was wondering about that. He shows 2 different snares in the ad with the other having been drilled for a Luddy throw off.

I cannot see well enough in the pic to see the club date style lugs . But I am not convinced they are US made Kent . And the tom mount looks suspect . I have never seen that for a US Kent . Looks MIJ . As well as the the club date style floor tom . To my knowledge they did not have a club date style FT . The bass drum and the tom with the double rows of lugs are US Kent .

I will be interested to see what happens in this thread .

Now that I look closer the upper toms are different. FYI I also saw this ad on Akron Ohio Craigslist. Might be all over the country. Beware. ..

8 lug Kent snares are rare! I scored one for 1966BMX and have been looking ever since then. Would be nice if it is legit. I have seen a lot of shady things on CL lately.

Actually, Kent did make "club date" style floor toms. I have a 14x14 in gold.
